Wendy grew up on a ranch on the table south of Chadron NE. She graduated from Chadron State with a degree in graphic design in 2000 and shortly after met her husband, Warren Scheenen. Warren and Wendy farm and ranch along the South Dakota/Nebraska border near White Clay. They have two boys, Case and Kylar, multiple cats and dogs, and a buffalo named Barney. In her spare time Wendy runs Craven Creek Studio, a stain glass and graphic art business. She sells her creations at local craft events and designs logos/advertising for several surrounding businesses. She volunteers for many 4-H events, including teaching glass classes and coach’s robotics. She drives 100’s of miles chasing her boys to all their sports events and loves supporting the area youth however she can. Her favorite season is fall and can find her every Saturday yelling “run the ball” to her beloved Husker football team.

Becky transitioned from a career in Financial Services Risk Management by obtaining her insurance licenses in 2003, when she returned to her hometown of Martin, SD. She added the additional licenses shortly afterward to help clients with not only Personal & Commercial lines of insurance but Life, Health, Medicare, LTC, Crop (MPCI), Crop Hail, PRF and LFP coverages. In 2007, Becky married John Haller of Rushville, NE. She and her 2 daughters then moved to the Gordon/Rushville area where she settled into her primary agency setting of which she stayed until her retirement in 2022. John and Becky raised 5 children, John’s kids: Heather, Ty & Tim along with Becky’s daughters: Connie & Lindsey all of which are 2 years part down the line. Of the many wonderful memories Becky will tell you graduation celebrations every other year for 10 years can be challenging and rewarding, not to mention coordinating college, military, and weddings! In 2021 John and Becky moved north of Rushville where he continues to farm with the addition of a commercial greenhouse and an Air BnB they call “the Cottage”. This keeps them both very busy. In her free time, Becky volunteers with the Rushville Rescue Squad as Ambulance chief of 15+ years and on the board for the American Legion Auxiliary and the corresponding Legion Club.
