Jason Kelber – Agent/CIC
Property & Casualty
Jason joined Nielsen Insurance in 2014 and has been in the insurance business since 2004 when he moved to Valentine, NE. Jason is married to a wonderful girl, Renee Kelber, & they have 4 children together: McKenzie, Madison, Jordan, & Grace. He enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, hiking, and all these activities are even better with the family! Jason also helps coach the Valentine High School Wrestling Team which have won 4 State Championships in the last 8 years, along with 2 Runner-up finishes. Jason’s Claim to Fame is he was a NCAA Wrestling Champion for the University of Nebraska in Lincoln back in 1991. The thing that grabs Jason about the insurance industry is that he loves to help make sure families, ranches, farms and businesses are protected from when disaster strikes.
Patty Welch – Agent/CISR

Patty joined Nielsen Insurance in 2014 and has been working with insurance since 1987 and has been a licensed agent since 1990. Patty is married to Jim Welch and they have 4 kids and 9 grandkids. Some of her favorite times are spent with family & grandkids.

Darlene was born and raised in NW Nebraska, Crawford. They spend time at close things like the Black Hills and Fort Robinson.
She married Danny Publow also from NW Nebraska, Harrison. They have two girls, Jenny married to Adam Beel, a rancher south of Wood Lake. They ranch with her grands, Olivia (16) and Eli (10). Olivia and Eli love every critter that exists on the ranch and are very active in 4-H. They are homeschooled as her daughter is a licensed teacher.
Keri is married to Zach Nadolski, he is in a contracting business in Lincoln, pouring basements like a mad man. Keri is a licensed mental health therapist. The have Rebel (10) and Rhyat (4) and they do tend to live up to their names. They are city kids and love a trip to Target.
Darlene has been in insurance 20 plus years. Each agency she has worked at she has stayed over 10 years, so we have been warned. Darlene said, “I have never seen insurance as sales, I believe it’s teaching people what they don’t know and are afraid to ask because everyone thinks they should know it already. I love people, being outside, and of course my family.”
Fun Fact: Danny taught all the Nielsen kids in High School.
